Doc Maria has been a sponsor for Compassion International for 7 years.   She has been blessed to sponsor a girl named Diana living in the Sechura Desert of northern Peru.  In July, 2017, Doc Maria took a trip to Piura, Peru to meet Diana and her family for the first time.  Diana is now 14 and doing well in school.

Dr. Malayter traveled with her graduate students from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology to study business and culture in Peru in July 2017.  The trip consisted of visits with McKinsey & Company, Korn Ferry, Aje Group, Compassion International, the American Chamber of Commerce and the Pachacutec Institute.
