Humbled to Serve.
Doc Maria was invited to serve as an assistant lay director for the Indian Prairie Great Banquet Christian spiritual women’s weekend #32. In this role, she worked on the leadership team for the fall weekend in October 2017 which included team member recruitment and logistical planning.
She opened the retreat weekend with a talk named “What are Your Priorities?” Doc Maria challenged the group to think about where they spend their time, their money, and their thoughts.
“It was an exercise in value clarification and spiritual alignment with greater aspirations, ” said Doc Maria. In preparation for the talk, she found herself reviewing her own commitments and refreshing her priorities.
